Read Across Charles County will be March 3 in Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) elementary and middle schools. The event is part of Read Across America, a program that promotes the love of reading and the birthday of children’s book author, Dr. Seuss.
Volunteer readers are sought for Read Across Charles County. Adults read aloud to students as a way to show children the value and importance of reading. Volunteers interested in participating can contact the principal or reading resource teacher of a county elementary or middle school by Feb. 28 to schedule a visit.
