The Southern Maryland session of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) listening tour will be 6 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 24 at the Prince Frederick campus of the College of Southern Maryland.
The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) scheduled sessions around the state to gather ideas for Maryland’s plan for the federal ESSA. Each state is updating its plans for schools and student improvement in compliance with ESSA, according to a MSDE news release. A draft of the state’s ESSA plan is at MarylandPublicSchools.org.
