Summer Enrichment Camps
Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) is offering summer camps to all CCPS students in grades K – 8 for the 2021-2022 school year.
Most camps offered in-person with selected camps offered virtually.
Camps are available at no cost to CCPS students. Children must be enrolled in a CCPS school for the 2021-2022 school year to attend.
Limit of 2 camp sessions per child. All in-person and virtual camps are full.
Camp sessions offered:
- Morning session from 8:30 - 11:00 a.m
- Afternoon session from 12:30 - 3:00 p.m.

at Nanjemoy Creek Environmental Education Center
5300 Turkey Tayac Place, Nanjemoy, MD 20662
For CCPS students entering Grades 6 through 8 in the 2021–2022 school year. The camp is available at no cost to CCPS students. Children must be enrolled in a CCPS school for the 2021-2022 school year to attend.
Transportation to the camp is not available this year, the camper must be dropped off at Nanjemoy Creek Center.

Amazing Animals!
Crawl, hop and slither your way to our summer camp. Join us as we investigate mammals, insects, fish, amphibians and reptiles through games, crafts and hands-on adventures. Activities: Canoeing, Fishing, an up-close visit with our raptors, and a whole lot more!
The camp runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Students should bring a lunch and beverage each day and dress for outdoor activities. The camp is limited to 18 campers.

at Henry E. Lackey High School
for children entering the 2nd grade in 2020-21 school year - 13-year-olds.
The Summer Youth Camp for boys and girls provides supervised activities in the following areas: soccer, touch football, basketball, floor hockey, swimming, kickball, arts and crafts, whiffle ball and other games. Camp activities will adhere to CCPS COVID-19 operating procedures.

Facilities
225-yard indoor swimming pool; two gymnasiums; football, baseball, and softball fields; six tennis courts; arts and crafts room; cafeteria
New this year
- Due to COVID-19 operating procedures, registration is limited to 50 campers per week
- Priority registration is for families signing up for all four weeks of camp. Registration is open until full. A second registration will be made available if space remains.
- Parents must register and pay online with a credit card. Credit card payments are processed online through MySchoolBucks.
- Information about COVID-19 operating procedures is located on the CCPS website at https://www.ccboe.com/index.php/road-to-reopening. Parents must complete the COVID-19 pre-screening questionnaire daily. Click here for the questionnaire.
- Once payment is received, no refund will be provided. Extenuating circumstances will be handled on a case-by-case basis with supporting documentation.

Bathing suit, towel, lunch (free hot lunch will be available starting June 21)
