Summer Enrichment Camps are for Charles County Public School enrolled students and residents of Charles County in grades kindergarten through nine, according to the student's 2019 - 2020 school year grade level.

Camps are offered in the AM (8:30 to 11:30) and PM (12:30 to 3:30).  Students staying for AM and PM camp sessions can be enrolled in the Lunch Activity Time session (11:30 AM to 12:30 PM) for $10/wk.  The Lunch Activity Time Session includes free lunch and supervision between camps.

enrichmentcamp6Cost per camp session is $90.00 per week and some camps require an extra $10 fee to cover the cost of materials. Financial assistance is available for children who attend Charles County Public schools who qualify. Space is limited for each camp.  Camps that have low enrollment may be canceled with a refund. The camp schedule is subject to change. Please check this webpage for updates.

Notification must be made 2 weeks prior to the start of camp for a full refund.  $5 non-refundable, processing fee for all cancellations.

Camps for grades 1 - 9 will be offered at Maurice J. McDonough High School, 7165 Marshall Corner Road, Pomfret, MD
Camps for Kindergarten will be held at Dr. James Craik Elementary School, 7725 Marshall Corner Road, Pomfret, MD
Summer Chef Cooking Camp for grades 6 - 9 will be held at Westlake High School, 3300 Middletown Road, Waldorf, MD.

Nanjemoy Creek Camps

Camp is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM.  
Bus transportation is provided
for the week of camp from the Gwynn Center, 5998 Radio Station Rd., La Plata, MD.  The bus leaves the Gwynn Center at 8:15 AM and returns at 3:45 PM. Parents may transport their child directly to and from the Nanjemoy Creek Environmental Center each day (please notify camp counselor).

Cost per camp session is $195 per week. Students should bring a lunch and beverage each day and dress for outdoor activities.

Do you like crafts? Do you like nature? Then, this camp was designed for you. Campers will spend time outdoors exploring nature and then follow up with some nature-themed crafts. Activities include making nature journals, mud painting, canoeing, pottery, tree identification and more.

Full STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art & math) ahead! Campers will get to experience it all in this camp while exploring the outdoors. It really doesn’t get any cooler than this. We will be building solar ovens (and cooking s’mores), canoeing, catching fish, building kites, making mini-worm composting bins, solving mysteries and more.

Lackey Summer Youth Camp

LackeyCamp5at Henry E. Lackey High School
for children entering the 2nd grade in 2019-20 school year - 13-year-olds.

The Summer Youth Camp for boys and girls provides supervised activities in the following areas: soccer, touch football, basketball, floor hockey, swimming, kickball, arts and crafts, whiffle ball and other games.

June 17 - July 12  Monday - Friday
  (Camp closed on July 4). No partial week registration permitted.  *WEEK 1, 2 and 4 are FULL.

Times Cost
8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. June 17 - July 12 $425 (all 4 weeks)   OR   $125 per week
8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. June 17 - July 12 $500 (all 4 weeks)   OR   $150 per week
