- Oversees the daily operations of all Charles County Public Schools
- Ensures the implementation of the Superintendent's Comprehensive Master Plan in all schools
- Provides leadership and direction to school administrators in all areas of school management including financial management, teacher observations, building service and parent/community interaction
- Establishes direction for principals in achieving measurable goals and holds evaluation conferences with all principals twice each year

- Robert D. Stethem Educational center houses alternative programs for middle and high school students who are not able to function satisfactorily in a traditional school environment
