Maryland State Law requires CCPS to publish notices of procurements and procurement awards on eMaryland Marketplace (eMM). We are excited you have decided to join our school system. We would like to take this opportunity to provide you with a brief overview of the technology resources and support made available to you as an employee of our district.
Technology Rules & Procedures:
The ability to access a variety of technology information from our network introduces new risks and opportunities. Appropriate computer use is the responsibility of all CCPS employees. Disciplinary action up to and including termination may result from violating any of the rules or procedures detailed in the CCPS Employee Manual, pg. 20. Below are just a few highlights:
- Appropriate computer use is the responsibility of all CCPS employees.
- Employees are required to sign a device agreement form upon assignment of CCPS-owned technology equipment.
- All computer information, voicemail and electronic mail messages are to be considered as system records and can be monitored.
Software and Computer Equipment:
As a new employee, you are assigned the following:
- CCPS Network User Account and Office 365 Account and Email
- Assigned Network Drives vary by position and location. All network drives are accessible from a CCPS computer/laptop inside the system. However, we encourage you to make use of your assigned Office 365 OneDrive. This is your cloud drive assigned only to you, accessible from any web browser, anywhere, at any time and on any device.
- Microsoft Office 365 Account includes a host of applications such as Outlook, OneDrive, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to name a few.
- CCPS Staff and Students are authorized to download the entire Microsoft Office suite on up to 5 personal devices for free.
- Free Online Microsoft Office Training Website.
- Computer Equipment (laptop or desktop) and Cisco IP Desk Phone (Depending on your position and location, computer equipment varies.)

Each school and office is assigned a Computer Analyst who usually serves as your first point of contact for all technology issues. The most efficient way to contact the CA is by entering a Help Desk ticket, which provides you a record of all requests and easier tracking.
