Aug. 17, 2020 – New teacher orientation week begins
Aug. 24, 2020 – First day of school for returning teachers
Aug. 31, 2020 – First day of school for students in kindergarten through Grade 12

Sept. 7, 2020 – Labor Day, schools and offices closed
Sept. 8, 2020 – First day of school for students in prekindergarten
Sept. 18, 2020 – Schools closed for students, teacher in-service day

Oct. 5, 2020 – Interims issued
Oct. 12, 2020 – Schools closed for students, teacher in-service/parent conference day

Nov. 3, 2020 – Election Day, schools closed for students and teachers
Nov. 11, 2020 – Schools closed for students, teacher in-service day
Nov. 25-27, 2020 – Schools and offices closed for Thanksgiving holiday

Dec. 23, 2020 – Jan. 1, 2021 – Winter break, schools closed
Dec. 23-31, 2020 – Offices closed for winter break

Jan. 1, 2021 – New Year’s Day, offices closed
Jan. 18, 2021 – Schools and offices closed, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday observed
Jan. 29, 2021 – Schools closed for students, semester break

Feb. 15, 2021 – Schools and offices closed, Presidents Day

April 2-9, 2021 – Spring break, schools closed for students and teachers
April 2-5, 2021 – Offices closed for spring break

May 31, 2021 – Schools and offices closed, Memorial Day

June 11, 14, 15,16, 2021 – Two-hour early dismissals for students
June 16, 2021 – ** Last day of school for students
June 17, 2021 – ** Last day of school for teachers

** Emergency closings – Four inclement weather days are built into the 2020-21 school calendar. The deletion of school days if they are not used will occur as follows: June 18, 17, 16 and 15. In the event more than the four weather days are used, the Board of Education can add days on to the end of the school year.
