English III  

English III (Honors) - This course is will emphasize interpretation of literature and other text through discussion and critical and persuasive writing. The focus of instruction will be the critical analysis of literture and other texts with emphasis on structure and thematic foundations. Summer Reading is required. SAT preparation is also addressed in this course.

English III (A-Level) - This course is designed to enable students to understand an appreciate literary works of various genres and non-fiction texts. The study will be developed thematically. Composition assignments will include critical essays, a primary source paper, a persuasive essay, and oral presentations. SAT preparation will also be included in this course.

English III (B-Level) - Effective compostion skills and reading skills are continued in this course. A continuation of the development of vocabulary and effective writing are included. The focus consists of a thematic study of literature and informational texts.
