English I  

English I (Honors) - This course is designed to challenge ninth grade students who have been identified as talented in the area of English and who wish to pursue an enriched English program. Intensive study of several literary and informational genres as well as language and writing will be addressed. Summer reading is required.

English I (A-Level) - This course is designed for ninth grade students who need a strong background in English. The course includes a review of critical reading strategies and writing process components. Students will analyze several literary genres and other texts and write with emphasis on writing to describe and express personal ideas. SAT preparation is addressed in this course.

English I (B-Level) - Students will apply reading strategies to various texts and learn to apply the writing process to various writing purposes.
