2009 - 2010
Milton Somers made AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress) in all areas of the Maryland State Assessment (MSA) as required by No Child Left Behind.
Congratulations to the teachers of our Special Education Department: Ms. Bates, Ms. Catalfano, Mr. Johns, Ms. McKenney, Ms. Owens, Ms. Shelton, Ms. Shook, Mr. Willett, Mr. Wooster, and Mr. Ziebell who were selected to represent Milton Somers as "Exemplary Employees" for Charles County Public Schools. Our faculty team along with our instructional assistants: Mr. Frederick, Ms. Gidley, Ms. Goldsmith, Ms. Henry, Ms. Holland, Ms. Smoot, Ms. Thomas, and Mr. Walker have been instrumental in the success of our students on MSA over the last three years. Congratulations to Rick Ivanac for being nominated as an Outstanding Individual in Charles County. He was recognized at the Distinguished Service Awards Banquet on October 28th.
