Library Media Center Book Borrowing Policy

All students are allowed to borrow library books.  Names of all students will be entered into the Library's Circulation System.

Students in Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First grade are allowed to borrow one book each week. 

Students in Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth grades are allowed to borrow two books each week. 

All students will be encouraged to borrow Accelerator Reader Books and take the quiz.  Names of all students will be entered into the Accelerated Reader Data Base.

Students who borrow library books are responsible for them.

•     Students are expected to return the book within one week. 

•     Students will not be charged a late fee.

•     Students may return their books and borrow it again for another week.

•     Students are expected to take care of their library books.

•     Students who return a damaged book beyond repair, will be Billed for a replacement book.

•     Students who misplaced or lost book(s) will be Billed for replacement book(s).

•     Students should not allow others to borrow their library books because he or she is still  responsible for it.  

•     Students who do not pay for damaged, misplaced, or lost books will either loose their recess or not able to participate in school events.
