Katie O'Malley-Simpson serves as spokesperson for the school system,
coordinates media response and writes and edits Charles County Public
Schools marketing materials. She oversees the school system Web page
and television station and has worked with CCPS since 1994. Prior to
accepting employment with CCPS, she was a newspaper reporter and
editor. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from West Virginia
University in Morgantown.
Steven Sprouse, Digital Communications Specialist Email: ssprouse@ccboe.com
Steven
Sprouse develops, designs and updates pages for the Charles County
Public Schools Web site as well as school and special department Web
sites. He also manages operations for Channel 96, Charles County Public
Schools' educational television channel. Prior to this position, Steven
was the instructional technology assistant at Dr. James Craik
Elementary School. He holds a Bachelor of Science in television and
radio production from Ithaca College.

Shelley Buter serves as writer, designer and photographer for Charles
County Public Schools communications materials. Prior to accepting
employment with CCPS, Shelley worked as a Web assistant for the
American Association of Sunday and Feature Editors. She also worked as
an intern reporter for the Star Democrat, Maryland Newsline, the Bureau
of National Affairs and the Maryland Independent. She holds a Bachelor
of Arts in journalism from the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at
the University of Maryland in College Park.
Kyle Graves, Video Production Technician Email: kgraves@ccboe.com
Kyle Graves serves as the video production technician for Charles
County Public Schools television channel. He shoots, edits, writes and
produces material for broadcast on Comcast Cable channel 96. Before
coming to CCPS, Kyle spent more than 11 years working in professional
television in Maryland and North Carolina. He has covered several major
stories including the flooding of Eastern North Carolina in 1999, the
death of NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt and the Carolina Panthers road
to the Super Bowl in 2004. Kyle grew up in Charles County and holds a
Bachelor of Arts in mass communication from Salisbury University.
