Charles County Public Schools announces the addition of our History Hints audio series. These hints are available in audio (mp3 format) and can be downloaded from the Charles County Public Schools website.

This series was designed to provide short segments on important moments in U.S. history to help students taking the AP U.S. History exam.  Our series begins with the first settlers of the New World and ends in 1850 with the United States on the brink of Civil War. There are 39 segments.

Each file below can be streamed from our website or downloaded onto a home computer.  All files can be played on an iPod and most other mp3 players.  Additionally, each segment will be available on iTunes as a Podcast and is also available as an RSS (syndicated) feed.

To listen to each segment from this page, simply click on the link and a new window will open with the audio file.  To download a segment, RIGHT CLICK the file, select Save File As and choose an appropriate destination on your computer.

These are new technologies for Charles County Public Schools.  If you notice problems with or have questions about the History Hints series, please contact Steven Sprouse at 301-392-5563.
