7th Grade News and Information

The 7^th Grade Team utilizes many tools to help the students maintain organization as well as to maintain contact with parents. Please help us to continue our efforts by checking for the following:

AGENDA: Each student should purchase an agenda book. It is important that every student uses it everyday. Please check your child's agenda to make sure that they are using it everyday and that they are completing their homework.

EDLINE: This online program will allow parents a way to stay informed about their child's current grades and maintain communication between school and home. Also, all of the teachers will be posting homework on www.edline.net, instead of schoolnotes.com. To have access to Edline, parents must retrieve an activation code through the Counseling Department. Edline and biweekly Student Progress Reports will be replacing the Data Tracking Sheets in individual classes.

Superintendent Rule 5131.32:

Middle School Promotion: In order for a 6th, 7th, and 8th grader to be promoted, the students must:

Pass Language Arts/Reading; and

Pass Mathematics; and

Meet one of the following:

Pass Science and Social Studies and at least one Related Arts course; or

Pass Science and at least two Related Arts classes; or

Pass Social Studies and at least two Related Arts classes.

Students failing a required core subject during the school year may attend summer school to achieve a passing grade.

IN ADDITION:

SPIRIT SHIRTS: This year, 7^th grade students will be given the opportunity to purchase their own 7^th grade spirit shirts. These will be special shirts specifically designed for 7^th grade students. More details to follow.

With everyone working together we can make this the best year ever. Remember, we are "GOING TO THE NEXT LEVEL…SUCCESS IS OUR ONLY OPTION!"
