Meet the Principal
Mrs. Leveillee's accomplishments at Matula during the last 10 years include a rise in test scores, and numerous awards, including the National Promising Practice Award for three consecutive years, the Maryland Character Education 2007 State School of Character Award and the Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies (PBIS) Maryland Exemplar School designation in 2006 , 2007 and 2008. Mrs. Leveillee received her Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education and special education from Frostburg State College and her master of education degree in administration and supervision from the University of Maryland. Mrs. Leveillee's favorite subject is math. Her favorite sayings are "If it is to be it is up to me" and "Character is what you do when no one is looking." She lives in Calvert County with her husband Mark. Her son Anthony recently graduated from UMBC with a degree in informational systems. She is looking forward to another fantastic year working with the children, staff, parents, and the community of Mary B. Neal Elementary School.
