Parent Teacher Organization
The Mt. Hope/Nanjemoy Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization is an association of parents or guardians of children enrolled at Mt. Hope, Mt. Hope staff members, school administrators, and concerned members of the community. It is the goal of the Mt. Hope PTO to provide social, educational, and economic support to the school community.
We are committed to working together for the benefit of our school, faculty and children; and collaborate on various efforts, including:

Meet with the PTO!
The Mt. Hope PTO meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month, at 6:30 pm, in the Cafeteria. Bring your children along, we provide Kid Entertaining (rather than babysitting). Some months our dates may alter from the 2nd Tuesday due to various events happening at Mt. Hope, so always double check here first!

Volunteer Nights!
We have many ways you can volunteer. One is volunteer night - here we get to help out our teachers by cutting out shapes, making copies, or laminating. Plus you get some adult interaction!
Volunteer nights are the 3rd Tuesdays of each month - from 6-8pm - Kid entertaining & Dinner will be provided. Some months our dates may alter from the 3rd Tuesday due to various events happening at Mt. Hope, so always double check here first. The specific dates are:
November 13th January 15th February 19th March 18th
April 15th May 20th

After collecting your box-tops and labels, just return to the school and the PTO will take care of them. Plus, when using your grocery cards – you have to scan them in for the school to receive the credit, entering your phone number won't do it…
