Barking up the Right Tree

This is a new section of the site that we are very excited about!

Some suggestions might be sports awards, volunteer service awards, scouting achievements, learning a new computer program, mastering a musical instrument, traveling to a unique or educational destination, etc.

Please feel free to let us know about your accomplishments, whether you are a student, parent, or staff member!

August 15: The Charles County Youth League 9-and-under Chargers (Red) went 6-0 to win the Maryland State Championship.  Congratulations to Mitchell students Quinn Krahling, Joey Bryner, and Jake Hanks. and Mitchell parent, Manager Mike Hanks.

August 18: The Charles County Youth League 8-and-under Chargers (Gray) won the Rookie B Division baseball state championship in Elkridge.  Congratulations to Mitchell students Joshua Bayer and Derrell Butler.

March 16: Artwork by Katelyn Kluh and Lexy Bryant was selected to represent Mitchell Elementary at the Charles County Youth Art Month Exhibit co-sponsored by the Charles County Women's Club and the Fine and Performing Arts Office of Charles County Public Schools. Their work will be on display at the Jesse L. Starkey Administration Building in La Plata until May 4, 2009. They will receive a certificate of participation at the opening of the show on Thursday, March 19, 2009.
