McDonough High School Senior Class of 2010
Each senior is required to pay dues of $70.00. This includes: $25 Diploma - $25 Cap and Gown - $20 Picnic
Graduation Day - June 8, 2010
4:30 pm - Seniors assemble at the school. All graduates must ride the bus to the Show Place Arena and remain in the designated area until the procession.
Candid Color Photography - Professional Graduation Photos and Podium Candids are available online @ www.candidcolor.net . Select the Diploma Presentation option from the drop down list and enter MCDG10 as the login code.
6:00pm - Doors open to public.
7:00 pm - Procession begins.
Tickets are Required for Entry to the Graduation Ceremony!!
10:00 pm - 2:00 am - Project Graduation - College of Southern Maryland - tickets required.
General Information
Attire for Graduation
Girls: White dresses, white shoes (no sport shoes; 2-inch heel maximum). Shoes must have a strap (no strapless sandals or slides), flesh stockings. Dresses should be no longer than mid-calf and must not hang below graduation gown. All dresses must have straps. A skirt and a blouse count as a dress.
Boys: White dress shirts, navy blue or black neckties (no bow ties), navy or black slacks (no denim), dark socks, and black shoes (no sport shoes).
Cap, Gown, Tassel, 2009 Medallion: Gowns should be pressed. Cap is to be worn parallel to the floor. Tassels should be placed on the right side of the mortarboard (hat).
Rehearsals
June 1st – 7th mandatory rehearsals, 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM (Full cooperation is needed to ensure that practice ends on or before 12:30 PM)
Transportation
- All graduates must ride the bus to The Show Place Arena.
- Transportation after graduation must be provided by the graduate and his/her family.
Project Graduation: Tickets will be issued during graduation practice.
