Fine Arts Students will learn how to improve their drawing and painting by working on their observation skills and learning about color theory. Classes include Art I, Art II, Drawing & Design, Advanced Art, Painting, AP Studio Art and AP Art History.
Students will use a varity of media to create collages, portraits, still lifes, paintings, prints, landscapes and design work. Software is available to create graphic images. Classes include Art I, Art II, Drawing & Design, Advanced Art, Painting, AP Studio Art and AP Art History Ceramics I, II & III, and Sculpture.
Photography In photography, students improve their photo taking skills by learning about composition, lighting and using SLR cameras. Black and white film is used and the student will learn how to develop negatives, make enlargements in the darkroom with developing chemicals. Learn how to compose your shots, develop negatives and working in a darkroom. Software is available to manipulate photographs and create graphic design images. Photography is offered senior year.
Ceramics Students will construct clay projects using many techniques. They will learn glazing and firing procedures. Students will be able to explore different construction techniques and translate their ideas into vivid color and form. They can choose to build either sculptural or functional forms. Ceramics I, II and III are offered. |
