Principal - Mr. Timothy Rosin
Originally from Michigan, Mr. Rosin received his bachelor's degree from Michigan State University in Elementary and Special Education in 1983. His teaching experiences included special education at both the elementary and middle school levels and general education at grades one and two in both Prince William and Fairfax counties. He received his master's degree in 1990 from George Mason University in Elementary Administration and Supervision. He was assistant principal at Willow Springs Elementary School in Fairfax County for five years. Most recently in Charles County, he served as principal of C. Paul Barnhart Elementary School for ten years after serving as that school's vice principal for one year. He has resided in Clinton, Maryland for twenty years now. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, biking and working outdoors. He also is active in his church and serves on its council.
Vice Principal - Ms. Jean Ritter
This is Mrs. Ritter's first year as a vice principal, but she comes to Matula Elementary with a number of years of experience in education. Most recently, she served as an IEP facilitator with the Charles County School System. She has also worked in The District of Columbia and Prince George's County Public School Systems. She has a master's degree in Communication, holds a certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech and Language Pathology and holds two certifications in Administration. She loves children. Each year she sets as one of her goals to make a difference in at least one child's life. This school year, she hopes to make a positive difference in the lives of the children at Matula Elementary. She likes to read and experiment in the kitchen. She also enjoys spending quality time with her family, especially her granddaughter.
