The counseling department at Mattawoman Middle School is dedicated to providing a comprehensive developmental counseling program that will assist our students and parents with social/emotional development, career readiness, personal development and academic success to be implemented through individual counseling, group counseling, and classroom guidance lessons.
We meet the needs of our students through a variety of avenues which include but are not limited to:
Classroom guidance lessons (conflict resolution, career exploration, suicide prevention, time-management, etc) Individual counseling Group counseling Peer Leadership opportunities Staff-Student Mentoring Program Student Support Team
In a collaborative effort with the staff, students and parents of Mattawoman we integrate academic achievement, career readiness and personal responsibility to help our students to attain the highest level of success in school and the community. |
