Summer School Health/NOVEL Health—Original CreditApplication ProcessBecause Health is a graduation requirement, it is strongly recommended that students take the course during the regular school year when full instructional support is available. However, some students may find that the academic demands of their 11th and 12th grade schedules may preclude taking Health during the regular school day. Those students should first confer with their guidance counselor to determine whether they should explore the summer school or NOVEL Health option.
The Summer School/NOVEL Health Course Request form can be obtained from the guidance counselor who will review the criteria of the application. The application requires student, parent, and counselor signatures. Final approval is indicated by the principal's signature.
The student is responsible for presenting a copy of the approved request when registering for Summer School Health or for NOVEL Health. |
