Terrific Three's news June Updates For the month of June, our theme will be "Buzzing into Pre-K". We will be learning about summer safety, including water, bike and pedestrian; reviewing all of the shapes, numbers, letters and colors previously learned. We will also touch on what to expect in Pre-K and will take a tour of the Pre-K classrooms.
Our last day of school will be on June 11. We will be having a short program with awards and would like to see all of the parents there. Keep reading the newsletter for details.
ATTENTION ALL 3's PROGRAM PARENTS/GUARDIANS! Please don't forget to update your child's records by providing 2 current proofs of residency or to return the forms that Nurse Rita sent home in April. Please call the office for summer hours.
Here are a few tips for the summer to help keep the children on track. Please remember to continue to read with your child every night for at least 15-20 minutes. This helps tremendously with getting them ready to read. Also, take your child to concerts in the park, go visit many museums; go for a ride on the Metro, any free thing you can find. Have them draw pictures about their daily adventures. Go to the park. Let your child help you when you cook. Find various opportunities to review numbers and colors and letters during the day. Let them paint. Have them do sidewalk chalk art. Visit the library for story time. Whatever you do, talk about it with your child.
To all of our Terrific Three's members and families, Ms. Saxon and Mrs. Jamieson hope that you have a happy, safe and enjoyable summer. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to have been a part of your lives for the past year. The year has been very productive and we hope that it continues throughout your school career. Thank you parents/guardians for letting us "borrow" your children. They have touched our hearts in ways that could not have been imagined.
Sincerely,
Ms. Saxon |
