Schools and CentersSt. Charles High School
Overview St. Charles High School will be Charles
County Public Schools seventh high school. Located in St. Charles, the high
school will be one of the anchors of a new green community already underway. St. Charles High School will offer the same Program of Studies available to all high school
students enrolled with CCPS. Courses offered will meet the requirements for
students to obtain a Maryland State Board of Education diploma. Students can
pursue a scholar's course of study, enroll in Advanced Placement courses and
participate in after-school activities such as sports and clubs.
St. Charles High School will house traditional classrooms, a 600-seat auditorium, a 2,000-seat
gymnasium, a cafeteria, a media center and administrative areas. An indoor pool
is proposed for the high school; however, it will not be built unless bids for
the building come in under budget and funds are made available for the
natatorium.
St. Charles High School will contain
several specialized features, available for use by all CCPS students in grades PreK - 12, including the digital classroom, Science on a
Sphere and Telepresence. |
