Pre-Kindergarten

• 1 large bottle of antibacterial hand sanitizer (NOT SOAP)
• 2 sets of watercolor paints
• 1 package of playdoh brand playdoh
• 1 regular sized soft book bag WITHOUT WHEELS
• Due to storage space if it is too large it will be returned home.
• Clarification will be given at orientation.

• 2 packages of 100 count 5 oz. bathroom cups (NOT 3 or 7 ounces please)
• 1 package of napkins
• 1 container of powdered drink mix like TANG or LEMONADE (NO KOOL AID)

Do not put your child's name on any of the supplies except the bag of clothes.  Thank you.

Kindergarten

LABELED WITH YOUR CHILD'S NAME:

• 1 Backpack (no wheels)
• 1 Regular-size bath towel
• 1 Change of clothes (in gallon-size Ziploc bag)
• 2 Plastic pocket folders (no prongs)

DO NOT LABEL THE FOLLOWING:

• 3 Large/jumbo glue sticks
• 1 3-Pack of Play-Doh (other brands stain)
• $1.00 for Thursday folder
• $6.00 for Scholastic News (cash or check payable to Diggs ES)

IF YOUR CHILD IS:

A boy:  Please send in 1 pkg. of washable markers-broad tip

A girl:  Please send in 1 pkg. of washable markers-fine tip

First Grade

• 1 Backpack (NO WHEELS) labeled with child's name
• 2 Red 2 pocket plastic folders with prongs for Homework
• 4 2-Pocket plastic folders with prongs (green, yellow, blue purple)
• 1 Pair of Fiskars blunt tip scissors

Please Do Not Label the Following Supplies

• 2 8 oz bottles of Elmers glue
• 3 Large/Jumbo Glue sticks
• 6 Black and White Composition Book – no spirals
• $1.00 for Red Thursday Folder
• $6.00 for Scholastic News – This is a supplemental item that aligns with the First Grade Curriculum.

Second Grade

• 1 Pack of wide ruled notebook paper
• 1 One-inch binder (no zippers, please)
• 1 Small backpack (no wheels, please)
• 2 Large sized glue sticks
• 1 Pair of scissors
• 3 Marble composition books
• 4 Plastic folders with pockets in different colors
• 1 Supply box – big enough to hold art supplies (crayons, pencils, scissors, etc..) but small enough to fit neatly in a desk
• 1 Bottle hand sanitizer
• 1 Pack of eraser caps
• 1 4-pack of dry erase markers
• $4.50 check made out to Scholastic News
• $5.00 check made out to William Diggs Elementary for agenda book
• $1.00 for Thursday folder

Third Grade

Please be sure to label all items.

• 1 Pair of child safety scissors
• 2 Glue sticks
• 2 Packages of wide-ruled loose leaf paper
• 5 Black and white marbled composition books
• A green, purple, orange and blue solid color, plain pocket folder.
• One three hole punched laminate/plastic folder.
• 1 1-inch poly (soft plastic) three ring binder. (No trapper keeper or zip up binders please!)
• To save space inside the desks please provide a pencil pouch to carry pencils and other small supplies instead of a supply box. 
• $6.00 for Agenda Book and Diggs take home folder.
• Dry Erase Marker

Fourth Grade

Please have the following supplies ready for your child to bring to school with him/her on the first day of school.

• 5-Subject spiral notebook with pockets inside
• 5 Pocket folders
• Highlighters
• Red/Colored pens for editing
• Gluesticks – please no glue bottles
• 2 packs of loose leaf paper
• Scissors
• $6 cash or check made to William A. Diggs Elementary for cost of agenda book and Thursday Folder
• $2 cash or check made to William A. Diggs for subscription to literature magazine StoryWorks
• Post-It notes

• ½ inch binder with one divider

Fifth Grade

• 1-pack of wide-ruled loose-leaf paper (replenish throughout the year)
• 4-composition notebooks
• 6-different colored folders
• 1-highlighter (any color)
• 1-red pen
• 1 pack of blue or black ink erasable pens
• 1-small plastic pencil pouch or box
• $6.00 ($5 for agenda book and $1 for Thursday Folder)-Please make check payable to William A. Diggs Elementary
