Science Research Paper Guidelines

When researching your project, be sure to use at least 3 – 5 resources.  Total points for research paper = 25 pts.

Your paper should include:

Introduction: a paragraph which includes a brief explanation of include your topic, why you are doing the project

Body:  at least 3 – 5 paragraphs…the subject of each paragraph should provide information about various factors of your experiment.  For example, a project on  "testing the amounts of Vitamin C in fruits" should include (at the minimum) information about 1) the types of fruits you are using; 2) the method, or chemicals you are using to test the vitamin C; 3) why is vitamin C important;   4) any other pertinent information.

Conclusion:  a brief summary of your information and how it will be important to the experiment.

Bibliography:  On a separate page.  Listed alphabetically by author.  Use www.easybib.com  in – this will provide the format.

Research paper:  Total points = 25

Introduction – 5 pts.

Body – 12 pts.

Conclusion – 3 pts.

Bibliography – 5 pts.
