Originally, the mission of the SADD chapter was to help young people say "No" to drinking and driving. Today, the mission is expanded and S.A.D.D./S.A.S.S. stands for Students Against Destructive Decisions/Students Against Starting Smoking. TDMS SADD/SASS has become a peer leadership organization dedicated to preventing destructive decisions, particularly underage drinking and tobacco use, other drug use, teen violence, and teen depression and suicide. Members and their parents/guardians are required to sign a "Contract for Life". Our club's unique approach involves young people delivering education and prevention messages to their peers through school- and communitywide activities and campaigns. In order for our club to be successful at this approach, the club hosts mandatory after school meetings for our members twice a month from 3:15pm – 4:15pm (meetings are held in either the media center or the cafeteria). Below is a list of scheduled meetings for the 2008-2009 school year and our first meeting is scheduled for October 1, 2008. There is no transportation to support this program. Your consent is needed to allow your child to participate because it will be your responsibility to provide transportation home. Davis Step Team2008 The Davis step team, AKA the "Falcon Fly Girls" is comprised of selected students who promote school spirit and pride while building character and respect towards self and their peers. The step team will perform at school and community events and other related competitions throughout the school year.
