Agenda and Meeting Information
Board Meeting and Work Session agendas are available through BoardDocs.
Board of Education meetings are held at the Jesse L. Starkey
Administration Building located at 5980 Radio Station Road. Regular
meetings are held the second Tuesday of most months. Executive session
is from 12-1 p.m. followed by the Board's regular meeting. Recognition
of employees, students and resolutions begins at 4:30. Public Forum
begins at 6 p.m.The Board also holds work sessions, as needed, the
fourth Monday of most months at 7 p.m. beginning with Public Forum.
Work sessions and business meetings are open to the public.
Agendas go to the media before the regular meeting. The Maryland Independent publishes information on the agendas. Recorded information is available 24 hours a day by calling 301-934-7410 or 301-932-6656. The agenda is also available on BoardDocs, which can be accessed from the system's press releases page, one week before the meeting.
Executive sessions may be called at any time pursuant to provisions contained within the Annotated Code of Maryland. These sessions are held in private and cover issues such as personnel, land acquisition and legal matters. Board of Education meetings are held in compliance with the Maryland Open Meetings Act. |
