Parent Liaison
Bonita Gatewood is the Parent Liaison at Barnhart Elementary School. She sets up parent involvement events which are posted on the Calendar page of this site and also works with parents to help volunteer throughout the school year. Ms. Gatewood also organizes the following programs to increase parent involvement at home.
"Read At Home" backpacks
Students in the 3 year old program to second grade participate in this program. Students are able to check out backpacks with books that students can read at home with their family.
Frog Games
Game boards are sent home with students from Kindergarten to fifth grade. These games are designed to help students improve their math and reading skills with support from home.
