Kimberly Hairson, Principal
Born and raised in southern West Virginia, Mrs. Hairston graduated from Concord College in 1988 with a degree in Elementary Education. She started her teaching career in Logan County, West Virginia where she taught elementary school for 5 years. Next she moved to Fauquier County, Virginia where at Cedar Lee Middle School and taught 6th grade reading and math. From there Mrs. Hairston moved to Charles County and taught at Benjamin Stoddert Middle School. While there she obtained her master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction and School Administration. In 2003 Mrs. Hairston became the vice principal at C. Paul Barnhart Elementary where she served for 5 years. And in 2008 she became principal at C. Paul Barnhart Elementary.
Mrs. Hairston is married and has two children. She enjoys reading, attending sporting events and watching her favorite football team the Pittsburgh Steelers. She also enjoys spending time with her family.
Cynthia Panizzi-Williams, Vice-Principal
Originally from Pennsylvania, Mrs. Panizzi-Williams received her bachelor's degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Elementary Education in 1987. Her teaching career started in Prince George’s County in August 1987 where she taught grades 2-6 in all academic subjects and 7th grade Reading/Language Arts and Social Studies. Mrs. Panizzi-Williams received her master's degree in 1991 from Bowie State University in Elementary Education. Mrs. Panizzi-Williams later went on to receive certification as a Reading Teacher and as an Administrator. Mrs. Panizzi-Williams started teaching in Charles County in August 2000 as a 7th and 8th grade Reading and Language Arts teacher at Benjamin Stoddert Middle School. She then became a Reading Resource teacher at William B. Wade Elementary and J. C. Parks Elementary. Mrs. Panizzi-Williams also served as Vice Principal at Dr. Brown Elementary for one year. Mrs. Panizzi-Williams lives in Waldorf with her three children, two dogs and one cat. She enjoys going to soccer games to watch her children play and reading books in her spare time.
